The insurance industry generally gets a hard time from the press and public. People seem to assume that insurance companies will do anything they can to get out of paying claims and when things don't go like clockwork, the industry gets it in the neck. Journalists are often asked why they don't write more positive stories about insurance and all the good things it does such as the response to the flooding a few years back.
