Amber Credit strikes £100m Budget deal

Amber Credit has announced a new deal with Budget Retail, part of the Budget Group of Companies, which is expected to be worth almost £100m over the next two years.

“We have enjoyed an excellent relationship with Amber Credit over the last four years” said Stuart Ramsey, finance director, Budget Retail. “We have ambitious growth plans for our retail business and it is vital to us that our partners are of sufficient calibre to enable us to succeed.

Amber is also working closely with CDL, which announced a five year deal with Budget in December to provide a wide area network system for the retail business, to develop an integrated system for processing loan applications and administration.

Rob Fry, sales and marketing director, Amber Credit, said: “The increasing volume of transactions we are generating means that technology will play a key role in ensuring we can improve processes in both our businesses, such as the electronic transmission of loan application forms, thereby improving the accuracy and speed with which customer loans are handled.”
