Motor and home insurance premiums rise

Over the last 12 months, motor and home insurance premiums for some customers have risen at less than the rate of inflation, according to the AA's British Insurance Premium Index. During the quarter, the average cost of comprehensive motor insurance increased by 0.7% to £699 - a quarterly increase of just £5.
