Broker consolidation and customer choice

The topic I am going to talk about this month is an old hobby horse of mine so forgive me if you feel you have heard it before but I feel that I must return to the topic of broker consolidation and customer choice.

In the 1990s it was the turn of the insurance companies to go through a sustained period of consolidation but now it is definitely the turn of the broking sector.

Consolidation has happened in a number of ways: the rise of some networks following the footprint of established players
